Anwar sends Mandore

Wild allegation by Aide to Anwar Ibrahim R.Suresh Kumar (cryingvoices)

R.Suresh Kumar the aide of Anwar Ibrahim, the opposition leader who is going through sodomy trials in Malaysia has called the Human Rights Party as an ” Illegal organisation and Maybe a worst scenario than a Terrorist” in a rather one sided video produced by Malaysiakini [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cOEAkxEhvE ]. Human Rights Party at the other hand produced another video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmaGLDQs-k8 to explain its intentions in organising the protest in front of the PKR Headquarters which was not explained or said in the video produced by Malaysiakini.

HRP Party Pro-Tem Sec.General Mr.P.Uthayakumar has stated his dissatisfaction towards the online news portal, accusing them for acting similar to the Mainstream Medias, which is biased and one sided with their own political agendas. Anwar aide R.Suresh Kumar agreed that he was part of the demonstrators in the Nov 25,2007 Hindraf Rally, and now giving a shocking statement that HRP is an illegal Organisation, despite knowing that Hindraf was the main subject and factor that lead the Pakatan Rakyat to win overwhelmingly in the past March 08 GE.

The sense of appreciation was not there in his interview to Malaysiakini, which can be clearing seen in his defensive statement against the protest by HRP. The Motive of HRP in organising the protest is to defend the poor and helpless Indians, and in the frustration over hope that has been shattered and promises that has not been fulfilled by Pakatan Rakyat since even before the 08 General Election. The issues that has been brought are Tamil School land issues, Temple issues, Graveyard Land issues and rights of the Indians as promised by the Pakatan Rakyat Government. In the same video by Malaysiakini,

Anwar aide R.Suresh Kumar said that HRP has to have a discussion with the BN ruled State Government Chief Ministers before meeting the PR ruled state Chief Ministers but one new information in the Video is, Chief Minister of Johor Bahru which never been heard before, I hope that R.Suresh Kumar will explain his statement regarding the Johor Bahru Chief Minister.

Why must HRP need to speak to the Chief Ministers of the BN ruled states? People voted them out and replace the Government to Pakatan Rakyat in the “HOPE” that they will bring changes to the normal 50years marginalization and unfair system by UMNO/Barisan Nasional. The system has not changed since Pakatan took over the 3 states, instead the pattern can be seen in the administration of the Pakatan Rakyat Government too. Ego,Unfair, Ignorant and not transparent.

Why must be the Aide of Anwar Ibrahim, talk about the Barisan MP’s and he is justifying the act of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, what Anwar and his alliances has to do with the Barisan Nasional Government? Any Hidden agendas? Secret and unknown future collabration?

Pakatan Rakyat top leaders must have been at least present there to discuss and treat the protesters with more cautious with respect, since HRP the child born from Hindraf, was one of the main influence to the victory of Pakatan Rakyat and to make Anwar Ibrahim as the Oppositon leader from no where. I think appointing R.Suresh Kumar as the representative or on behalf of Anwar Ibrahim to accept the Memorandum is an old technique used by the UMNO regime and it is the disastrous decision made by Anwar Ibrahim.

We are unsure of the role of P.Vasanthakumar’s presence in the protest against the protest by HRP. Pakatan Rakyat has lost the trust of the supporters due to the ala UMNO way of handling protesters in a disrespectful manner. In the times of critical turmoil within the party and its coalition, Pakatan Rakyat could have handle this protest in a more fragile and cautious manner. This is a critical time where people are confused and unsure of the genuine intentions of political parties in which Pakatan has to make every move cautiously, sincerely and with their promises fulfilled.

UMNOs’ Last breed of Indian leaders

Also never promoted to headmasters an estimated 50% of the teachers in Malaysian schools nationwide in the 1960s’ and 1970s were Indians teaching mostly English, Science, Maths etc. Mrs Vaithalingam is one sample of this 50% (Sinar 11/3/10 at page S29).

However UMNO systematically and gradually in pursuit of their racist, religious extremist and supremacist policies reduced this to about a mere 1% today. This is ethnic cleansing in the education sector!

Also almost all these teachers were never promoted to become headmaster and headmistress of national schools, however qualified or capable they may have been. Today we no longer hear of Indian headmasters any more. The very last few have retired or are on the verge of retiring.

To the contrary even the President of the USA is now a black and “muslim”.

But in Prime Minister Najib Razak’s One malay-sia, an Indian cannot even become a headmaster however qualified or capable they are.

PKR & DAP mandores’ peanut cash but not permanent land titles for Hindu temples

A Selangor mandore Exco member, MP and Councillor under the instructions of the “Tuan” Anwar Ibrahim and Towkay Kapitan Lim Guan Eng is still at it. Obviously they do not understand the needs of the Indian community.

Despite two years in power these tuan and towkay are still refusing to grant permanent land titles as a permanent solutions to the fifteen hindu temples in Klang, Selangor.

Instead PKR, DAP & PAS use these Indian mandores to dish out these peanuts to stay politically relevant and afloat.

Hindraf argues case at House of Commons (The Star)

HINDRAF has joined forces with a group representing the interests of indigenous groups from Sabah and Sarawak in London to lobby British legislators, reported Tamil Nesan.

Hindraf chairman P. Waythamoorthy and adviser N. Ganesan made the case for Hindraf at the House of Commons, while Sabah and Sarawak were represented by Common Interest Group Malaysia (Cigma) activists Daniel John Jambun and Nicholas Bawin Anggat.

Both groups insisted that Britain had a historical, legal and moral obligation towards former subjects in its ex-colonies.

Ganesan alleged that the Indian community, largely the descendants of indentured plantation labourers brought into Malaya by the British from Tamil Nadu, were being systematically marginalised by the Government.

Split in Indian vote likely with HRP (The Star)

The parting of ways between Hindraf and Pakatan Rakyat means that the opposition pact will not have an easy ride in the next general election

THE Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf), which was Pakatan Rakyat’s best friend in the 2008 general election, has turned into its worst enemy, staging a demonstration against the coalition outside the PKR office of Pakatan leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

They chose the PKR office in Merchant Square because Pakatan, as a pact, does not yet have an office for its former supporters to vent their anger.

Human rights lawyer and Hindraf founder P. Uthayakumar led the protesters, numbering about 300 and carrying banners and placards, alleging that Indian woes were not being addressed in Pakatan-ruled states despite the promises made in the run-up to the March 8, 2008 general election.

“We wanted to submit a memorandum to Anwar personally but he did not turn up to meet us,” an infuriated Uthayakumar said.

“We don’t trust them (Pakatan) any more. We are charting our own course and will contest under our own banner in the next general election.”

Uthayakumar’s main grouse is that Pakatan has yet to alleviate Indian poverty with affirmative action programmes and failed to alienate land for Tamil schools and Hindu temples, two subjects close to the Indian community, as it had promised in the election campaign.

“If they issue land titles to Tamil schools in Pakatan-ruled states, then the schools become eligible to be classified as fully-aided and qualify for financial support from the federal government,” he said.

“They can do it with one stroke of the pen but they have not. We are very disappointed.” Uthayakumar has gathered all his former Hindraf supporters under the yet-to-be-registered Human Rights Party (HRP).

Their disappointment with Pakatan has grown in intensity ever since the coalition failed to successfully resolve the Kampung Buah Pala issue in Penang.

The Sunday demonstration was the final act in the parting of ways between Pakatan and Hindraf, which has splintered into numerous factions.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that Uthayakumar still has influence over what is left of the Hindraf movement, perhaps not directly, but at least emotionally.

“Our weakness is not lack of grassroots support but we are weak financially,” Hindraf’s diehard supporters said. Pakatan rode the Hindraf movement to victory and used the Tamil phase Makkal Sakthi or People Power as its rallying cry.

Ironically, two of Uthayakumar’s colleagues, P. Vasantha Kumar and V.S. Ganapathi Rao, who were in Kamunting under the Internal Security Act with the founder, have joined forces with Pakatan and strongly condemned the demonstration.

“He is out of his mind,” said Vasantha Kumar who is with PKR. “His actions will split the Indian vote and benefit Barisan Nasional.”

“If he continues like this, he will hurt Pakatan,” said Ganapathi Rao, who is with the DAP.

Both were critical of Uthayakumar’s plan to field Hindraf/HRP candidates in about 30 parliamentary and state constituencies where Indians voters comprise about 30% – constituencies critical to Pakatan’s success in the 2008 general election.

Uthayakumar is also beefing up Indian voters in these targeted constituencies by organising voter registration exercises and persuading Indian voters from elsewhere to move to the selected constituencies.

For a start, he is focusing on parliament and state seats in “frontline” states like Selangor, Perak and Penang.

Uthayakumar has also chosen seats considered “critical” to Pakatan and held by senior Pakatan leaders, like the Prai state and Batu Kawan parliamentary seats, both now held by Penang Deputy Chief Minister Dr P. Ramasamy.

Another critical seat HRP is targeting, Uthayakumar said, is Ipoh Barat in Perak, held by DAP assistant secretary-general M. Kulasegaran.

Likewise in Selangor, the party is eyeing the Sri Andalas state seat held by PKR heavyweight Dr Xavier Jeyakumar and Kota Raja parliamentary seat held by PAS’ Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.

While few political experts believe HRP/Hindraf, on their own, can win any of the seats they contest simply because of their Indian-only orientation, they fear HRP/Hindraf can split the Indian vote in a three-cornered contest that is more likely to take votes away from Pakatan than Barisan.

“Barisan stands to do better in a tight race in a three-cornered fight,” a DAP leader said. “Indian grievances are for real and remain unresolved despite the Pakatan rhetoric.”

Uthayakumar, however, is indifferent to the outcome, even if Barisan shines. “We are confident we can win where we contest and use the victories as leverage to get as much benefit as possible for the Indian community,” said Uthayakumar.

“We are ready to talk terms with either of the coalitions for the benefit of the Indian community,” he added.

“We have our Indian political empowerment strategy and we will march towards it, come what may.”

“We need to fight our own battles,” he said. “We cannot rely on Pakatan or Barisan.”

The big question is how much clout Hindraf still enjoys in the Indian community, where political leadership is deeply splintered between the traditional MIC on one side and on the other, the PKR, DAP and numerous other new actors.

Will Hindraf’s influence, which has waned since the famous Nov 25, 2007 protest, rise to tip the balance in the upcoming contest?

Whatever the outcome, one thing is sure, Pakatan will not have an easy ride as in 2008.

PKR denies 5,000 Indians in Rawang a community hall

At a function the PKR ADUN announced that some RM 23,000, peanuts, was given for the year 2009 and today she and the PKR MP gave out “help” (peanuts) to 50 poor Indian students (Sinar 11/3/2010 at page S14).

The community hall problem remains unsolved until the next general elections when PKR would make more promises.

UMNO abandons poor and sickly Indian family

(Sinar 11/3/2010 at page S6)

The RM 48 million allocation (The Star & NST Headlines 24/10/09) for providing welfare assistance and house rental payments does not reach this Indian family.

The sole bread winner who is also a heart patient earns RM 1,000.00 but has eight mouths to feed. This family even has difficulty in paying their electricity bills. Three of their children have been denied birth certificates as he could not even afford to pay the compound of RM 50.00 because of late registration.

This is the real height of poverty.

Hindraf joins forces with indigenous group in London - Malaysiakini

By Joe Fernandez & Chen Yi Ling

It was a historic first in London on Tuesday when Hindraf joined forces with an indigenous group from Sabah and Sarawak to lobby legislators on issues still lingering from the British colonial period in Malaysia.

Hindraf chair P Waythamoorthy and advisor N Ganesan made the case for their Hindu Rights Action Force at the House of Commons, while Sabah and Sarawak were represented by Common Interest Group Malaysia (Cigma) activists Daniel John Jambun and Nicholas Bawin Anggat.

Both Cigma and Hindraf reiterated the case that Britain had a lingering historical, legal and moral obligation towards its former subjects in its ex-colonies.

“We are only asking for our rights under the federal constitution,” stressed Hindraf advisor Ganesan in highlighting 15 areas of human rights violations by the Malaysian government. “We want our place in the Malaysian sun.”

hindraf indigenous groups uk 110310Ganesan (right standing) went on to allege that the Indian community, largely the descendants of indentured plantation labour brought in by the British from Tamil Nadu, were being systematically marginalised by the ruling BN government.

“The various issues causing marginalisation are not individual aberrations or decisions gone wrong but are systematic and repeated in many specific instances,” said Ganesan in summing up several case histories and studies.

“The problem with the Indian poor is multiplying and this has been illustrated with clear evidence.”

Ganesan is also advisor to the Human Rights Party, helmed by P Uthayakumar, the elder of the Hindraf brothers.

The special privileges for the Malays and natives, in its original form, covered only four areas - reasonable representation for the Malays and natives in the civil service; intake into government institutions of higher learning; government scholarships; and a share of government-created opportunities to do business.

However, Hindraf alleges that the government had unilaterally extended it to every facet of life in Malaysia.

KL not abiding to Malaysia Agreement

Meanwhile, Cigma senior activists Jambun from Sabah and Nicholas Bawin from Sarawak, made the case for Malaysian Borneo by urging the British government to return to a revived Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) on the Malaysia Agreement.

Other members of the IGC are the governments of Sabah, Sarawak, Malaysia and Singapore.

The IGC, pointed out both activists, was a permanent institution meant to monitor the Malaysian government's compliance with the 1963 Malaysia Agreement.

The Malaysian government, in the absence of the IGC, has been in non-compliance, according to both activists.

“Kuala Lumpur could easily impose proxies, stooges and traitors in Sabah and Sarawak and ignore the legitimate aspirations of the people.”

Jambun said that over the past 50 years “various modifications and adjustments” to the Malaysia Agreement have eroded the rights and privileges of Sabahans.

“Forty-six years after independence, Sabah is now the poorest state despite its abundant natural resources,” he lamented.

nicholas bawin pkr candidate for batang ai state seat 270209 01Bawin (left) gave a brief history of the Abdul Taib Mahmud government in Sarawak which, according to him, has been a proxy for the last 30 years for the ruling elite in Kuala Lumpur.

“Land, timber, oil and gas are all resources which are not benefitting the people of Sarawak,” said Nicholas.

Both Bawin and Jambun pointed out that Brunei stayed out from Malaysia at the 11th hour and Singapore left two years after.

The two countries, it was stressed, are light years ahead of Sabah and Sarawak “who were forced into a bad idea called Malaysia”. The statistics on poverty, it was pointed out, tell the whole story.

Sabah facing new threats

The Sabah activist, in his presentation on behalf of Cigma chair Jeffrey Kitingan, detailed the threats to the security and sovereignty of Sabah since Malaysia in 1963.

The thrust of his case was that the indigenous majority were being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants from neighbouring nations.

“We acknowledge that Sabah has labour needs and especially in an increasingly globalised economy,” said Jambun. “But what we cannot accept is illegal immigrants being issued with Malaysian personal documents via the back door and being placed on the electoral rolls.”

hindraf in london 110310 01The presence of illegal immigrants on the electoral rolls, especially in marginal seats, has been at the expense of the indigenous majority, stressed Jambun, “and compromised the security and sovereignty of Sabah”.

For the first time, a Sabah leader openly alleged that the state was now a safe haven for terrorists on the run, rebels and kidnappers. “JI or Jemaah Islamiyah, a terror network, has been identified as having its presence in Sabah,” disclosed Jambun. “So has Darul Islam Sabah.”

Hence, with the presence of “armed foreigners on our soil”, thundered Jambun, Sabah is no longer a secure state. “Where is the security promised us by the Federation of Malaysia in 1963?” he asked the British.

hindraf in london 110310 waythamoorthyHindraf chair Waythamoorthy in summing up for both his movement and Cigma alleged that Malaysia has been re-colonised by a ruling elite with the departure of the British.

“Independence has brought us a raw deal. The promises have not materialised whether for the indigenous people in Sabah and Sarawak or for the Indian community and others in Peninsular Malaysia,” said Waythamoorthy.

“The New Economic Policy was supposed to eradicate poverty irrespective of race. Instead, the benefits have gone to an elite minority.”

Statelessness, continued Waythamoorthy in elaborating on a point earlier raised by Ganesan, continues to plague not only the Indians but also the indigenous peoples in Sabah and Sarawak and others.

Labour MP chairs meeting

British Labour MP Virendra Sharma for Ealing Southall, a community known as 'Little India' in London, chaired the meeting.

Speaking on behalf of his peers, he expressed their dismay at the alleged serious violations of human rights by the Malaysian authorities detailed by Hindraf and Cigma.

“I will bring this up to my government,” he assured. “We will also initiate a committee at the parliamentary level to further deliberate on what we have heard here today for follow-up measures and action.

'We can certainly set up a group in Parliament to talk about the plight of marginalised Malaysians.”

He said that overseas Malaysians can lobby their local MPs to exert pressure on the Foreign Office in Malaysia.

Isabel Tay, a Malaysian who attended the briefing, said, “I'm now a lot more aware on how the minority communities view the situation in Malaysia.”

Hindraf should plan for GE13. Bagan Pinang was a wasted opportunity for Hindraf because Uthaya got disappointed with the Kg. Buah Pala issue. However , we must work to end the UMNO/BN regime in GE13. Pls talk to PR , they are the only hope for us Malaysians.

BN is going to be uneasy with this new alliance between Hindraf and Bornoe states. Imagine if all minorities in Malaysia joins hand with Hindraf. I think the Borneo community leaders have the right group on their side. Best is to keep in touch with Waytha very often and get him to raise your issues in The UN and European Parliament. Hindraf often frequents these International bodies in their lobby. They have good working relations with the US state Department, Australia government and are making inroads to Japan parliamentarians. Jeffrey Kitingan and other Native leaders in Borneo should hold regular video conference with Waytha and get his help to raise their profile internationally. remember only international pressure would force this government to change their policies.

Unlike Pakatan mandores Hindraf has proven itself to be the voice of the marginalised community. This is a slap on the face of all those who said Hindraf is a racist organisation. If they can organise this with the sabahans and sarawakians - what else need to be said?? All those who claimed to be marginalised have to follow the steps of the sabahans and sarawakians- get help from Hindraf. Make the first step and see Hindraf comes out to your

"The New Economic Policy was supposed to eradicate poverty irrespective of race. Instead, the benefits have gone to an elite minority.” That is the core of the problem which is HINDRAF's struggle.

HINDRAF is going to the core of the problem viz marginalisation of the Indians and the original promises made during independence REGARDING FAIR TREATMENT ESPECIALLY FOR THE POORER CLASS INDIANS AND OTHERS and the systematic reneging of these promises by BN. They have not wavered from this struggle.

Indians are indeed gifted to have such leaders who are intelligent to drive their point right up to House of Commons. Its time Pakatan engage this Human Rights group Hindraf. They are proven to be committed to their cause and they have leaders who are capable of a lot more than what is portrayed in the media. I think the are actually a misunderstood movement. I am beginning to feel Pakatan leaders are uncomfortable with Hindraf for their boldness. I can see Pakatan has more to lose than gain if they rule out working with Hind

Dei Ramasamy. You can pretend to be kgen. but u are a coward and fool. Shame on you. You have such low mentality. DAP is such a desperate party that they even take on board fools like this clown. Waytha is a strategist. the issues Ramasamy has raised is trivial because as a DCM this mandore can never perform and feel jealous of Hindraf's achievements. Let us see how this mandore clown wins the next election. maybe he should engage the services of the SB mole Vasanthakumar to to help him win the next GE.

by kgen - 7 hours ago

HIndraf is suing the British govt and at the same time asking for help. Waytha wants to sue the British Crown but petitions the Queen for a Q.C. to sue her Majesty's own govt. In the meantime he takes shelter in Britain. Waytha sues m'kini but mikini is his strongest platform. I won't waste time with this bunch of clowns who can't see left from right. Putting your hope in Hindraf and HRM is like trusting a bunch of idiots and undermining the parties which can make a difference for Indians while BN laughs at the unpaid mandores, Uthaya & Waytha. If PR doesn't win in next G.E. my consolation will be that Hindraf Indians deserve the govt they get. Don't bother to slam me, I'm not wasting any more time on this.

Waytha is right when he says that The East Malaysian natives, Indians ( and chinese- my addition) are RECOLONIALIZED. It is time the chinese too join forces with Hindraf. We can never trust politicians, they are all opportunists. Hindraf is a Movement that has proven to have taken the cause of Human Rights without Fear. We Chinese should come out of our shell and be as bold and exert our pressure on the UMNO regime which is racist and have mislead Malaysians. Let there be MERDEKA for MALAYSIA.

I am proud of Hindraf for sharing their platform with our Borneo brothers. Hindraf has from its inception proven itself to be the lead in the new freedom movement in Malaysia. They have pioneered the International lobby and open the eyes of International community. A strategic move and keep up the good work. Many Malaysians including PR live in denial but you guys have the guts, will and strength to fight for the cause of Human Rights

Hindraf has proven to be of a world class Movement though the Government keeps misleading their role. The Government should now realise that there are more people placing their trust and confidence in Hindraf. I suspect the Government is going to be uneasy with this new alliance and so goes with Pakatan.

Simple those who succed come back and put his family to another level. This do not happen among tamilians (we are abunch of crab, we always pull those who is going up down thats what we do best) My question is simple if the govt or the world gives us few billion USD, will it solve the problem????? it will be the same as what have MIC done. and we will be in the same situation and another group call Pindraf may be at UN blameing the same group plus Hindraf. Our community problem is not simple but it can be rectified is genuine group work at grassroot level to make changes. Stop fighting along a narrow root but on a wider persective of indian community. Fight along the Malaysian born Indian community line irrespective of caste, race and religion to make us competitive, a community that will be recognised as inventors, explorers, buiders rather than sanke, gangsters, robbers and lastly child abusers. Sadly the Hindaf group is just being a platform to give excuses by the arm chair critic

by Mr.Anandha - 11 hours ago

i just do not understand why do we have to blame others for the systematic failure of the community due to the blind faith we had on caste, religion, race(among indian born). Vasagar MIC leader during pre independent era was dispossed by the Indian community just because he was a north indian (Tamil language fight which was going on in south india) though he was a leader who had vision and was replace by VTSambanthan who do not have any qualification to be a community leader other than being a millionnaires son and a Tamilian. After that the indian community keep allianating themselve along tamil and tamil culture and 53 years have past and we are still blaming others. Look at the Punjabi's for the readers infor one of MIC presedent was a Punjabi name Barth Singh(am not sure of the spealing) how the community have developed over the same period without any handouts from the government, the telegu community have also done tremendously well. Have we pondered why??

I am happy to note that Hindraf has assisted in opening doors to the other marginalised communities like the Ibans and Kadazans and internationalised their long ignored issues. Finally the 18 and 20 Point Agreements is coming into focus at the world stage! No one can now say Hindraf is working for Indians only. It is clear they are world for all marginalised minorities. Now where were our opposition PR leaders? Why were they not at the Commons and highlighting the issues?

You see, it is not so difficult, engage HINDRAF and it will pave the path for human rights. Native Malaysians is a start and many others can join hand and be a force if we seek what is just and fair without infringing the right of another for the will of the Malaysian people as oppose to the political will and the mandorism that is acclimatized under both BN and Pakatan. Let's create the third force solely for the people. If you are interested and genuine to be part of the 3rd Force, email me at malaysiansakai@gmail.com. This is totally voluntary without any expectation so please email only if you can contribute your time and effort without the typical know how and what it should be. Know how and how it should be has not brought us anywhere, so i wouldn't waste your time nor you should waste my time to justify the cause in your own wonderland. I may sound crude but that is what it is as I am not interested in all the pleasantry but only to enhance the Malaysian agenda.

UMNO denied wheelchair to Nagendran till 2010 because he did not fill up forms in 1995 and 1996

The UMNO welfare department now says that Nagendran had never applied for a wheelchair. Why is it that this kind of wheelchair problem is unheard of happening to malay muslims.

Judge for your goodselves the extent of UMNO’s racism which is implemented by the 1,016,799 Biro Tata Negara “racist graduates” (UM (B) 21/6/09 page 19) in almost all levels of the government departments.

The odd Nagendran’s case was luckily highlighted in the Malay Press. Thousands of others Indians are not so lucky and end up suffering in silence on a day to day basis. Perhaps because some forms were not filled!

Scores of Indian youths have been shot dead by the police. But the PKR Tuan Selangor M.B led government never gave them a single cent. Perhaps because they all died wheras this Malay lady survived! (We are happy this Malay lady was granted some compensation, in fact should have been awarded more).

She was then pulled out of the car and assaulted further, resulting in a broken rib. The incident has left her with a hefty RM18,000 medical bill.

In a statement today, Rodziah slammed Hishammuddin for refusing to take action against those who assaulted and shot Norizan.

“The home minister cannot run away from his responsibilities (and must) take action against the police because this involves public safety, especially to women,” she said.

Meanwhile, Rodziah (left) said the state government was committed to empowering women who makes up 50 percent of the population.

“The state government ensures that more than 30 percent of the top decision makers who are directly involved in state planning and development are women,” she said.

“The state government is also working hard to increase the number of women policy and decision makers at both public and private sectors.”

Anwar Ibrahim gets low level Indian mandores to respond to HRP & Hindraf protest at PKR HQ on March 7th, 2010

These low level mandores are instructed by Anwar Ibrahim to say in effect that peanuts here and there have been dished out, as UMNO had been doing for 50 years. Their plans and promises that has been made is their “achievement”. MIC fared better as they got their Minister mandores, Deputy Ministers, MPs’ Excos’ etc to do this mandore job.

This ex-UMNO No. 2 top leader is now displaying his prowess and ferocity like his ex UMNO party.

Imagine what he is going to do for Indians when he gets to Putrajaya.

42% Tamil schools pupils cannot read and write – poverty related

42% or an estimated 10,000 tamil school pupils attending standard one at Tamil schools cannot read and write at all because they could not afford and therefore did not attend kindergarden (MO 10/3/10 at page 3).

This is despite the RM 48 million allocation for education in the 2010 Budget (NST and Star Headlines 24/10/09). But this RM 48 Million does not reach almost all of the 523 Tamil schools and so they do not have kindergardens.

To the contrary the One Malay-sian Prime Minister Najib Razak’s wife using the millions allocated just for Permata Kindergardens is introducing even graduate teachers from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris for the thousands of almost all malay muslim Permata pre-schools.

There are 5,900 places in 39 MSRM colleges and 6,000 places in fully residential schools (BH 17/1/2010 at page 16) – all for malays, 7,575 out of the 10,000 schools in the country are three to five star rating schools under the Smart school Qualification Standards (SSQS) with another 5% targeted to be increased by year end. (The Star 13/2/2010 at page N26).

But never mind if ten thousand of these Tamil school pupils cannot read and write.

This is the official One – Malaysia Policy by Prime Minister Najib Razak!

PKR refuses land and additional land to Ampang Tamil School

If this school is given additional land they can build a kindergarten within the school premises with car parking facilities for the school teachers where right now they are parking their cars in the public car park or along the street. The public field also can be upgraded so it only can be used by the school pupils only. By giving the additional land it will help the school to build more classes so that the total number of the students in a class will be lesser than what it is now, not overcrowded and the students can focus on their studies.

Besides, the school is operating in two sessions, morning and evening sessions. By giving this additional land also it will enable the school to switch to a single morning session, and they can allocate time for co-curriculum activities and extra classes in the evening.

Yet it is believed that this school didn’t get its land title. If so why does the relocation matter arise? The Selangor State government should provide land title and approve additional land for this Ampang Tamil School immediately as has been rightly done for all Malay, Chinese, Orang asli, Kadazan and Iban schools in Malaysia. Why it is that it is always the Tamil schools that has to be moved about here and there, overcrowded, with no school fields, no canteens, no fencing, no libraries, no chairs, tables, are still wooden school building, have to collect money from the poor Indians to build annexe and new school buildings?

It is the duty of any government to provide for general education without discrimination or favoritism in any way.

By Baradan Kuppusamy - The Malaysian Insider

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 7 — Hindraf founder P. Uthayakumar today brought 200 supporters to demonstrate against Pakatan Rakyat outside the PKR headquarters near here, venting is anger against the coalition for allegedly “betraying” the Indian community.

The demonstration signals the final parting of ways between Hindraf and Pakatan — an alliance that had significantly benefitted the opposition coalition when it swept through four states and won 82 seats in the March 8, 2008 general election.

“They made promises and we urged the Indians to vote for Pakatan. Two years later Pakatan is a big zero,” said Uthayakumar, who now leads the yet-to-be-registered Human Rights Party Malaysia (HRP).

His former Hindraf colleagues S. Ganabatirau, now with the DAP, and Vasantha Kumar, who were both arrested together with him under the Internal Security Act in December 2007, watched the demonstration and criticised Uthayakumar for helping the ruling Barisan Nasional federal government by splitting the Indian vote and weakening Pakatan.

“We have done more for Indians than Barisan has ever done. Why does he not demonstrate outside the MIC or Umno building? Why come here and tarnish Pakatan name?” asked Vasantha Kumar, who has joined the PKR.

“This is gutter politics...he is taking the poor Indians for a long ride,” he added.

The demonstrators held banners and placards that condemned Pakatan.

PKR= Umno, one placard read. Others condemned Pakatan for failing to give land to Tamil schools and temples.

However Uthayakumar brushed aside the accusation that he is “pro-Umno” in his political choices saying there was no difference between both Pakatan and Barisan.

“Both are racists and Malay-centred and both sees Indians as people to be used and discarded,” he told The Malaysian Insider.

“Two years they have been in power in Penang, Selangor and Kedah and before that in Perak. These are states with lots of Indians but the leaders have not lifted a finger for the Indians,” he said.

In a statement titled “You’re yet to be paid debts to the Malaysian Indians” Uthayakumar said the Pakatan is steadily losing what it gained in Election 2008.

He claimed credit for sparking the Indian revolt on Nov 25, 2007 that he said brought Pakatan all its gains.

“They can with one signature solve 90 per cent of Indian woes by providing land for temples and Tamil Schools but they refuse. Why should we support them?” he asked.

Uthayakumar vowed to go it alone and contest in 15 parliament and 30 state seats in the next general election, focusing on seats that have between 20 to 30 per cent Indian voters.

“We are beefing up these constituencies with new Indian voters and are confident of winning,” he said.

These are seats now held by PKR and DAP Indian leaders such as Penang deputy chief minister Dr P. Ramasamy and DAP assistant secretary general M. Kulasegaran, among other leaders.

He said with these seats HRP will be the real kingmaker between Pakatan and Barisan and will use the clout to demand for benefits for the Indian community.

He also refuted allegations that his strategy will split the Indian voters and benefit Barisan.

“We will stand and it is for the Indian voters to decide. If they want a strong and honest voice they must choose us,” he said.

M. Suresh Kumar, the PKR Indian leader who has been tasked by Anwar to handle the “HRP matter” said Uthayakumar was out of his mind.

“You can’t win any seat on just Indian votes. You have to learn how to cooperate with other races and work in a give and take manner,” he said.

He dismissed Uthayakumar’s “go alone” strategy as foolish, unworkable and dangerous.
