For the 16th day in a row, both the main stream and alternative media kept pounding at the police shooting death of Aminulrasyid Amzah and the injustices arising there from (See NST headlines 13/5/10 and The Star 13/5/2010 at page N 18), is the tip of the iceberg of this media race bias.
This was almost the same scenario when Teoh Beng Hock was killed in the MACC custody. Such coverage is justified and we are happy for it.
But when the two Indian brothers were shot dead by the police sharp shooters in their shoot to kill policy as a means of reducing crime and when there were even eye witness that these were cold blooded killings, and the hundreds of such cases over the years, both the mainstream and the alternative media may have at best given cursory coverage compared to given to Aminulrasyid and Teoh Beng Hock.
Why is this so? Pray tell us of one other country in the world which has media bias to this extent?
We can only deduce that the 53 years of UMNOs’ racism has spilled over to the media.

Thereafter:-
1) PNB bought up land at token value, blue chip shares, golden chip shares and insider information based investment in land, banks, multi million ringgit giant Industries and Corporations Small and Medium Scale Industries (SMEs’) franchise industries etc.
2) PNB equity from RM540 Million in 1981 rose to RM76.7 Billion in 2008 today. PNB is the world’s largest and most successful unit trust that spread ownership to 8.9 Million Malay shareholders an increase to 10 times from 840,000 in 1981. PNB today controls Maybank, Sime Darby, MIDF, Island and Peninsula, UMW Holdings Since 1981,RM60 Billion was paid out to 8.9 Million Malay shareholders at an average of RM6,741.57 per shareholder(NST 21/04/2008 page2).
3) The net effect of this is the average of at least the sum of RM6,741.57 every year which is paid out per Malay shareholder.
4) In 1987 the government did a bailout on the 24 Chinese Deposit Taking Cooperatives (DTC) for 1.5 billion ringgit and paid out a ringgit for a ringgit to 588,000 members mostly Chinese within a snap of a finger.
5) Similarly Malay majority shareholding in BMF, Renong, MAS, Bank Bumiputera, Bank Rakyat, Syarikat Perkapalan, etc could all be bailed out for multi Billions on public policy grounds.
6) But why can’t MAIKA similarly be bailed out at RM26.00 per RM1.00 of the original shares 26 years ago. In the circumstances we call upon the Malaysian government to bail out Maika holdings at RM26.00 per RM1.00 of the original share instead of the RM0.80 offer for the RM1.00 shares by Datuk Seri Nazir Razak. (See NST 13/5/2010 at page 4).
This is especially when about 80 percent of the investors held fewer than 6,500 shares each, indicating that the lower and middle income earners investment. In fact, thousand used their life savings, pawned their jewellery or took out loans to give Maika a sound start.

P.Uthayakumar in the dock at the Court of Appeal. Racist and vindictive UMNO. Sessions Judge who dismissed criminal charges in turn prosecuted for unheard of criminal offence.
This morning was fixed for hearing of the second set of Sedition charges against P. Uthayakumar, P. Waytha Moorthy and another.
At the Court of Appeal this morning it was disheartening seeing P. Uthayakumar, a lawyer of 20 years standing in the dock for merely championing minority Indian rights but in Malay-sia.
In 2007, P. Uthayakumar together with P. Waytha Moorthy launched a nationwide campaign against the UMNO led Malay-sian government’s racist, religious extremist and supremacist agenda in excluding the Indians from the national mainstream development of Malaysia which had peaked in the 25th November 2007 100,000 people Hindraf Rally.
In the last of the Hindraf nationwide public forums, P. Uthayakumar and P. Waytha Moorthy were peacefully campaigning by delivering a speech at Kuala Selangor. When issues and examples were given on the discrimination and exclusion of the Indians from the national mainstream development of Malaysia, this was deemed Sedition by UMNO which had instructed it’s Attorney General to prosecute P. Uthayakumar and P. Waytha Moorthy and another with Sedition.
The Sessions Court Judge Puan Junaidah had on 23/11/2010 granted a token bail of RM 300.00 each and had allowed a cash bail as it was already 6.00 p.m and the banks would have been closed and had on 26/11/2007 ie one day after the 25th November 2007 100,000 Hindraf Rally 26/11/2007 dismissed the charges against P. Uthayakumar, P. Waytha Moorthy and another on the grounds that the charges were groundless further to Section 114 (g) of the criminal Procedure Code when the charge sheet did not even have the Tamil translation of the alleged Seditions words uttered. UMNO must have taken this Judge’s actions as non Kow-towing to them.
Why the great hurry in this prosecution. Justice hurried is Justice buried!
For this, this Sessions Court Judge was punished by being immediately moved to a desk job at the Attorney General’s Chambers and then prosecuted for an unknown and unprecedented offence of tampering with judicial notes. We now hear that this Judge has been forced to plead guilty and therefore losses her job, pension, benefits emoluments etc.
This is the price the rare and courageous Judge has to pay for doing her job in the Malaysian Judiciary.
The prosecution had appealed to the High Court Judge on the 10th of December, just three days before P. Uthayakumar’s arrest under the ISA. Justice Abang Abu Bakar who just until a few months before hearing this case had been objected to by P. Uthayakumar’s lawyers as he was a subordinate of his immediate past boss the Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail who had personally appeared before this very same learned High Court Judge.
Repeated applications for an adjournment as P. Uthayakumar and Manoharan Malayalam were acting as Counsels in the Court next door hearing the public interested bail application of some 50 over Hindraf supporters was repeatedly rejected it was so obvious! Independent Judiciary?
As anticipated, this Judge had refused to recluse himself and in any event had allowed the Attorney general’s appeal and set this matter for trial again before the Sessions Court.
P. Uthayakumar’s lawyer Manoharan Malayalam had in the interim appealed to the Court of Appeal and which came up for hearing this morning. But the same was adjourned to 17/7/2010 as the Appeal records were not in order.
The Attorney General is even objecting to the ten days delay in filing the Notice of Appeal even when three days later Manoharan Malayalam himself was detained without trial or conviction under the ISA.
The Attorney General is so vindictive to the point of even exhibiting the list containing the names of the lawyers who had visited Manoharan at Kamunting Prison @ Malaysia’s Guantanamo Bay. Non politically motivated and independent Attorney General?
Lawyers R. Kengatharan and Gobind Singh Deo were also on record.

Just three weeks ago two civil clothes policemen using a motorcycle and backed up by at least one marked and another unmarked police car as seen on our CCTV had within 30 seconds robbed P.Uthayakumar of his computer bag containing his lap top, camera, mobile phone, video camera and vital HRP documents from his car that was parked right in front and within just ten metres or so of the main entrance of the HRP HQ on the ground floor.
And now on Friday 7/5/10, three unmarked cars appeared at the HRP HQ at about 11.00p.m. A staff who had worked late and was alone was still waiting for her fiancée when saw what she believed to be at least three unmarked police cars with about 15 civil clothes policemen in their fully tinted two Honda and one Proton Wira cars surrounding the HRP HQ. She was frightened and alerted her fiancée who had arrived shortly thereafter. We believe this Ops Padam HRP HQ was thereafter aborted.
The three cars immediately left but followed and sandwiched the staff’s car from the front, behind and the side as if frightening, threatening and harassing her and her fiancée.
Should there be any acts of sabotage against this HRP HQ we will hold the Polis Raja Di Malaysia and UMNO fully responsible.
Malay-sia now a full fledged police state!

The student’s mother can no longer work because of mental illness. Mother and daughter live in one room at RM 100 rentals per month where they cook, eat and sleep. When even their low cost flat went on auction as they could not pay the RM 200 or so installment.
To add insult to injury, the Welfare department gives them only RM 80 per month.
Had they been a Malay muslims, the Pusat Zakat, Baitumal, Jakim, some Yayasan or other corporate bodies, GLCs, etc would have bailed them out.
But as poor Indians, made poorer in One Malay-sia by pure neglect, this is the pain and suffering they have to endure.

There is an estimated 0.1% to 1% Indians directors and top management staff in the hundreds of multi-million and multi-billion ringgit government linked companies (GLC) in UMNO’s Malay-sia.
In fact most UMNO leaders and their cronies monopolise the top positions in these GLC’s (BH 7/5/2010 at page 10).
Only an estimated 0.1% to 1% of the shares in these companies are given to Indians and that to perhaps to some mandore Indians.

Pray tell us of one such case reported involving a Malay or a Chinese in the last few years.
